Fiona
Qualifications:
BA(Hons) Business Management (Accounting), Associate Practising Member of the Certified Public Accountants Association, Member of the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers, Professional Certificate in Management, Professional Certificate in Accounting, ICB Payroll Diploma. In addition, I am committed to Continual Professional Development.
Experience:
5 years as a clerk with Bank of Scotland where, at the age of sixteen, a strong ethos of confidentiality and trust were ingrained in me, along with a friendly and approachable customer service background. 16 years as accounts manager with a local haulage and shipping company. 1.5 years as accounts manager with a hotel management company responsible for the outsourced bookkeeping and management accounts of a portfolio of hotels, and finance team.
Outside work:
Spending time with family and friends, Zumba, walking, golfing, and reading.
Ailsa
Born and bred in Fort William, I left school in 2010 and worked in retail until I secured an office-based position at a local college in 2012.
Experience / Qualifications:
I now have over a decade of administrative experience and hold several Administration and ECDL qualifications. I began working in Bookkeeping in 2018 and have been at Shed Accounts since 2021. Currently studying Level 2 Certificate in Business Administration Knowledge with West College Scotland.
Outside Work:
I am a mum to my little girl, Minnie, who I try to spend as much time with as I can. I also enjoy seeing friends, eating out and relaxing at home with the cats! A surprising fact about me is that I am a massive FRIENDS fan and have seen every episode at least 15 times!
Gillian
Qualifications:
8 ‘O’ Grades including Maths and English. Highers – English and History. NEBDN qualification in Dental Nursing. Currently studying ICB Level 3 Diploma in Payroll Management.
Experience:
In 1990 I started work as a Trainee Dental Nurse, qualifying in May 1992. I remained with the practice for 31 years working in all departments – ie – surgery, reception and management.
Admin Assistant – Crannog Concept 17 months.
Retail Assistant – volunteer with British Heart Foundation, then paid position with same charity.
Outside Work:
Travelling – I enjoy sunshine holidays as well as city breaks with my husband. Cooking / socialising with friends and family. Reading and my electric bike.
David
Originally from Ipswich in Suffolk, I moved up to the Highlands in 2018 with my wife after we fell in love with the area from holidaying here every year since 2012. I have 2 children and have recently become a grandparent.
Experience:
Have worked in Accounts for over 40 years, having starting off in practice straight from school for 5 years before moving into roles within Shipping, Manufacturing, Retail & Hospitality, ranging from Accounts Clerk to Finance Director. I am also committed to Continual Professional Development.
Outside Work:
I enjoy most sports and am a keen supporter of Ipswich Town, going to games when we visit our son who still lives in the town, or travelling down to away games when they play in the North of England. I am also a keen walker and spend most weekends out walking the mountains & glens.

Qualifications:
Currently studying ICB Bookkeeping Levels 2 & 3
Goals:
To do bookkeeping and payroll training and become a qualified bookkeeper.
Accomplishments:
Winning the league last year with Mallaig FC. Completing BSW apprenticeship to become a qualified Saw Doctor.
Outside Work:
Football, Darts, Golf, Music, Mallaig Football Club, socialising with friends.
